The purpose of the inaugural Step U.P. Awards is to
recognize those individuals who promote the positive aspects
of stepping – both with students and in the community. The
awards and recognition are to reflect activity during the
2007 calendar year.
Step Team
Academic All-Americans –
recognizes high school step team members (9th – 12th grades)
that maintain a 3.3 GPA or better.
Coach of the
Year Awards –
recognizes the volunteer efforts of teachers and community
leaders who volunteer their time to teach youth this
cultural dance form.
Step
Show Event of the Year Awards –
recognizes community-based step shows that provide an outlet
to showcase step and give back to the community.
Applications Must
be Submitted Between
January 1, 2008 and February 20, 2008.
